Spring and Fall Ultra Marathons on Chicago's Lakefront

14th Annual Chicago Lakefront 50/50

Location

 Both races start and finish on Chicago's lakefront, at Jackson Park Grove 19A, approximately 100 yards west of the 63rd Street Beach House (the previous start/finish)

 50M:  6:30 AM (11-hour time limit)
50K:  8:30 AM

Course
  • Consists of 4 out-and-back segments for the 50m and three for the 50k.
  • The races follow the Lakefront running path.
  • Mostly asphalt with some concrete sections.
  • One of the flattest 50k and 50 mile courses in North America.
  • The current 50 mi. world record was set on Chicago's lakefront in 1984. 

Awards
  • Belt buckles to 50M finishers 11 hours and under (no early starters).
  • Medals to all 50K finishers.
  • Overall male and female trophies.

 To every paid participant.

Aid Stations

 Three; approximately every 2.5 miles. Amply stocked with water, Gatorade, cola, and a variety of food items.
